The client’s wish was to give a Japanese feel to this small courtyard with the addition of a water feature. Curvy lines, dark paving material, gravel and handpicked plants reflect the Zen attitude of this small place. Some of the existing plants have been trimmed to give a cloud effect. A dark granite monolith is used for the water feature. Helxine and small cobbles are used for ground cover. Japanese maple, Cotoneaster, bamboos…) are subtly lit from underneath.
