The client’s brief was to have an enclosed and relaxed garden in the spirit North African terraces with the sound of water and lots of green. A water channel run along one third of the garden, and the lawn has been replaced by natural paving stones with a mix of ground cover plants in between the slabs. The raised borders and walls are roughly rendered and painted white. A solid roof pergola with the addition of built-in benches provides a year round’s spot to entertain outside. Mainly Mediterranean plants have been used in the planting scheme.
